What are some artists or designers whose works inspired social change?
Q. I can't really put my finger on one... I'm trying to think of someone who inspired a movement perhaps, or maybe something controversial that leads to some kind of change or improvement, or a different perspective for society. Know any artists like that?

Joris Ivens, Dutch filmmaker, did a film about the independence movement in Indonesia after WW2. he was both criticized and cheered for it. most of his films have a political message, and he always focused on the position of the underprivileged. did an impressive film about the Borinage (the area where Van Gogh worked decades before). Joseph Beuys, German artist/educator and political activist. he worked with a broad definition of art, using dialogue everywhere. important influence in actions in the seventies. Marina Abramovic, American performance artist, has focused on the (female) body for decades in performances. her work by some is labeled feminist art. real influence on women's lib in the seventies and eighties. How do you make windows media player display albums with various artists as one album?
Q. When you tag several artists on the same ablum that are different from each other, windows media player picks it up as each of the seperate artists have done an album called , and thus refuses to display every track when you try to browse the album. How can you make it so you have multiple artists with different tracks, but windows media player will show it as one complete album?

What are good songs by popular artists to ballroom dance to?
Q. I'm looking for popular songs to do rumba, swing, foxtrot, and waltz to that I might have already on albums or on my computer. Basically anything by mainstream artists that work well with those dances. Thanks!!

A. I think popular/mainstream can be pretty subjective, depending on your age. When I was learning to ballroom dance (less than 5 years ago) I would listen to the radio and try to figure out what dance I could do to each song. This works if you listen to an easy listening/soft rock station.
